GREEN_ZERO, the housing unit designed by the arch. Daniele Menichini, was presented on June 26th. Among the many companies which contributed to the realization of the prototype there was also Tondin.

On June 26th at Ai Cadelach Hotel in Revine Lago (Tv) GREEN_ZERO, the project studied by Arch. Daniele Menichini, was presented.

Green Zero - un progetto di Daniele Menichini a Treviso

Among the innovative trends concerning hospitality, a great part is played by the new concept of "ospitalità diffusa", i.e. a new style of tourism which is meant to recover old buildings and revive small historic villages.

GREEN_ZERO is a new interpretation of this innovative concept which aims to the creation of a new system of accommodation availability. It is a proposal which is similar to the traditional hotel and bungalow experience but which can be gracefully integrated into the territory: a suite enclosed by a sustainable shell which can be placed in the wood, along the seaside, in the countryside or wherever the territory allows it.

For the hotel owner it represents a kind of different challenge which aims to the offer of a lifestyle, of an experience through which the guest can enjoy the elements of "green" building without giving up a touch of "naturalmente chic" design.

Along with GREEN_ZERO, a new model of hotel development takes shape, in which the reduction of the environmental impact, the improvement of sustainability - in the choice of the materials, in the use of renewable energies, in the creation of a short distribution chain - and the energy saving activities represent the focus: GREEN_ZERO is in fact classified as KlimaHaus A.

These results are due to the collaboration between companies with a green DNA. Among them there is also Tondin, which supplied GREEN_ZERO with its doors which are realized using only FSC® certified woods, i.e. coming exclusively from forests managed in a responsible and fair way, and finished with materials and varnishes containing as little toxic substances as possible.

The hope is for this project not to remain a prototype, but to become a real opportunity to develop and improve the quality of the Italian and foreign tourism scenery.
