Free Design Basement - On Porte e Finestre

Written by  Wednesday, 02 December 2015

The basement: confortable like a living-room, but way more informal; a personal space to furnish with a style which is free, spontaneous and, if one wishes, also totally different from the rest of the house's design.

Yes, because when we think about the basement, we imagine a confortable, warm and rustic space, a safe shelter, separated with the rest of the house, able to host a crowd dinner, a last-minute meal with friends or also relax and hobbys of our free time.

So, if the basement is special, the materials which are used to furnish it are special in the same way. Wood, fired bricks, visible bricks: all finishes are chosen for their aesthetic value but also for their resistance, and with a pinch of imagination and creative inspiration (always without exaggeration), it is possible to put next to the traditional wood or white themes, small details of red, yellow or grey so as to give to the space a younger and more intense style, which can also be summoned by interior doors or windows in the room.
